(Jan. 26, 2011) Taipei, Taiwan-Silicon Integrated Systems Corp. (SiS) today announced its 10-finger multi-touch IC solution- SiS9200 series was validated by Microsoft Windows 7 certification. SiS9200 series, with high touch sensitivity and multi-gesture recognition support, achieved a 100% perfect score through rigorous Windows 7 compatibility testing. SiS9200 series projected capacitive multi-touch controller was a highly-integrated single chip design and support 2 to 17-inch panel size. SiS9200 series have been in mass produced now and over 50 design-in cases are under verification and end-application products are expected to debut in market in the first quarter.
SiS once again demonstrated its highly integration capability. SiS9200 series touch controller integrate 32-bit microcontroller (MCU), 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and clock controller (Timer), and built-in a variety of input and output interfaces, including USB, SPI, I2C, UART and GPIO, etc., to provide a more flexible design that allows system developers more flexibility to design high value-added products. SiS9200 series touch controller can support up to 100 sensing channels in large size platform which can enhance users’ comfort and satisfaction in a high sensitivity and multi-touch using scenario.
SiS9200 series touch controller support both ITO Glass and ITO Film design from 2 to 17-inch touchscreen. The solution offers palm rejection feature that allows users to rest their hands or other objects on the touchscreen without the fear of interference in gesture detection. In addition, SiS9200 series solution, with water and moisture resistant function, may dispense with hands sweat or splashing water droplets concerns to meet more comfortable and carefree using scenario for users in need of long-time processing.
